Julie A. Hansen
Founder and Managing Director, Dr. Julie Aiken Hansen Foundation
Dr. Julie Aiken Hansen has dedicated her life to healthcare, with over two decades of experience as a registered nurse, specializing in women’s health, high-risk pregnancy, and neonatal care. A graduate of the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Dr. Hansen spent the majority of her clinical career at St. Mark’s Hospital, where she provided expert care for women and advocated for comprehensive healthcare education.
In 2007, Dr. Hansen transitioned into nursing education at Ameritech College of Healthcare, where she held leadership positions including Nursing Program Director and Chief Executive Officer. She was instrumental in earning the nursing program’s initial accreditation from the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission, underscoring her commitment to maintaining high educational standards in the healthcare field.
Believing in the power of lifelong learning, Dr. Hansen went on to earn both a Master’s Degree in Nursing and a Doctor of Nursing Practice. Her passion for holistic healthcare led her to develop curricula emphasizing a whole-person approach to care. As a board-certified Advanced Holistic Nurse through the American Holistic Nurses Association, she continues to champion person-centered care and the integration of health and healing in all aspects of treatment.
According to Dr. Hansen, “Advancing the concept of holism in healthcare will translate to an empowered workforce that provides person-centered care, embraces wholeness, and enacts a paradigm-shift to a healthier world.”
Dr. Hansen’s work extends beyond education and clinical practice. She is the Founder and Managing Director of the Dr. Julie Aiken Hansen Foundation, which focuses on promoting health and education, both domestically and internationally.
